Grade 6 to Year 7 Transition

A New Beginning

A New Beginning  |  Your guide for a successful start to Year 7 at 91Ììý´«Ã½

In readiness for enrolment paperwork being sent out to families, please see the residential requirements for enrolment each family will need to provide to the College to ensure address verification of your child’s enrolment for 2023. If you have any queries regarding the address requirements please contact the College. You may also refer to the document.

Grade 6 into Year 7 is a very exciting time for students and their families. At 91Ììý´«Ã½, we follow the Department of Education and Training state wide transition program.

By holding an Open Night late Term 1 and numerous College tours in both Terms 1 and Term 2 (conducted by our Principal and Transition teams), we hope families will be as informed as possible about our college and what we can offer for every student.

We encourage families to attend College tours to see how our college operates on a normal school day.  We also encourage families to bring along their children so they can see what school life is like at 91Ììý´«Ã½.

Most of the transition for Year 6 to 7 is handled by your primary school.  Your primary school will distribute forms to families in early Term 2. This important documentation is where parents will select their secondary school of choice.

We encourage families to discuss any queries they may have with the transition process with their Grade 6 teacher or primary school transition co-ordinator.

Enrolment dates to remember are posted to this page in Term 3 for action in Term 4. The dates and information above are subject to change and we encourage families to regularly check our website and Facebook page for the most up to date information.
